It has a handy 'lift' handle, plenty wide enough for bagels, doesn't take up tons of counter space, and has a great defrost feature. It is highly *reproducible* in its toasting so you can actually predict how your toast will come out (the way you like it). It does not burn when toasting on the 3rd time in a row like many toasters. I've owned this toaster for more than a year and it has restored my faith in toasters. Thanks Consumer Reports.
Purchased this toaster 3 years ago and it has worked great. Very stylish and attractive. Also purchased additional toaster for a Christmas gift and the receiver has enjoyed as well.
I saw this toaster over a year ago, and finally broke down and purchased one. Does great with bread, bagels, and English muffins. Love the design and ease of use. Nice wide slots, and easy to "pre-pop" whatever is being toasted. Only problem is, I was shipped a used one, which I had to settle for. vendor problem, not a product problem.
Finally, I've found the perfect toaster. It toasts bread, etc. evenly, and the lever to raise the toast is one of the best inventions for toasters in a long time - no more sticking something in the toaster to retrieve toast.
I was dissappointed in the toaster because I like everything about it except for the main thing; it doesn't toast evenly. I always feel that I need to flip the toast around when it pops up so that the other side gets toasted more. It's very light weight as well and tips a little when you pull the lever down. I had expected a higher quality toaster than this from Krups.
